Arquitectura sustentable

Sustainable Architecture

Sustainable architecture, also called sustainable architecture, green architecture, eco-architecture and environmentally conscious architecture is a way of conceiving the architectural design in a sustainable manner, seeking to optimize resources and the building up systems so that they minimize the environmental impact of buildings on the environment and its inhabitants.
The principles of sustainable architecture include:
Considering the weather, hydrography and ecosystems of the environment in which buildings are built for maximum performance with the least impact. The effectiveness and restraint in the use of construction materials, giving priority to a low energy content compared to the high energyReducing energy consumption for heating, cooling, lighting and other equipment, covering the remaining demand with renewable energy sourcesMinimizing the overall energy balance of the building, covering the design, construction, use and end of life.
Compliance with the requirements of hygrothermal comfort, health, lighting and occupancy of buildings.

Historically, earth and straw materials were allowed to build in ancient civilizations not only shelter, but also churches, palaces, castles and even entire cities. But from the twentieth century, and before the advance of new techniques dependent on cement and brick, its use was replaced by materials that require heavy use of energy, while being difficult to recycle and, in many cases, include toxic elements
